DESCRIPTION
A renowned recording and rehearsal studio complex in Hove with 17 practice studios, two high end recording studios and a 175-capacity live venue and bar. There are several mix studios and a mastering suite, storage facilities, shop & cafe. A second facility housing additional rehearsal rooms is located on Melbourne Street, approximately 400 metres from the main studio. Each room is fresh air ducted. It has a close partnership with the Brighton Institute of Modern Music, giving music students access to its professional facilities. It also provides equipment hire and staffing services.
HISTORY & CLIENTS
The main premises was built in 1897 as the Brighton Corporation Tramways head office, located on Lewes Road, about a mile from Brighton beach. Originally starting with limited funds, it has since grown into a major facility. It has been recognised internationally, winning the Pro Sound News magazine 'Studio of the Year' award in 2016.
