Vine Yard Studios (popularly known as the PWL "Hit Factory") in Southwark, London, began its most famous era in 1984, when the partnership of Stock, Aitken, and Waterman (SAW) began operating there. It was nicknamed "The Hit Factory" for producing hits for Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, and Bananarama. The studio, located at 8 Vine Yard near Borough Underground Station, was home to their production team until 1993.
