Rehearsal is the most common studio service offered alongside live music venues but there is disintegration in the wider music ecosystem. So said a 2021 report commissioned by the UK government which assessed the state of 2,482 music studios in England.
The key findings of the first ever survey of London's 47 music rehearsal spaces reveal the nature of their operation. It was estimated there had been an increase in their number since 1976, at a rate of 3 new spaces established every two years.
