You may choose an automated studio and pay less but experience will also be substanially less. Magnet prides itself on maintaining a creative environment for the all types and standards of musician. It recognoses the importance of human interraction, which is why we created the chill-out common space, where you can meet other muso's or thrash out some ideas with your bandmates. The equipment is maintained in real time, 24/7, so you are guaranteed uninterrupted rehearsal. All you need to do is bring your instrument and leave the rest to us. Although you can do the playing!!! Established in 2007, services include rehearsal studios, film, TV & photography studios, Film production, tuition, digital recording studios and a multitude of community based initiatives in order to maximize potential in the Midlands area. It was declared a winner for the best music venue category in the 2014 Rock The House competition at a high-profile annual awards ceremony at the Palace of Westminster. Now services include artist development programmes, state of the art digital recording studios, eight fully equipped rehearsal rooms and broadcast quality video production. In addition there is tuition on many instruments, and a range of school and community based support initiatives that focus on encouraging the next generation of budding superstars. The complex boasts a high level of well maintained equipment, due in part to it’s close relationship with partner Laney Amplification. Each studio is digitally networked via a Logic system to a state-of-the-art digital recording suite which enables artists to produce everything from demos to download, and broadcast quality productions. The studio’s 200 capacity live room is a fully functioning venue that already attracts established musicians for gigs, and has also become established as a safe and well-run environment for young people to spend evenings both watching and performing their music. In addition, Base Studios leads a number of free youth projects aimed at giving opportunities where no provision currently exist. This is at the heart of the studios ethos.
